    Giving Garland

The Giving Garland and Food Drive is back at Leschi Elementary. Check the calendar for the start date of this year's drive.

This is an opportunity to help a family in need during the winter holiday season. Each year our school community generously shares their resources by providing families from the Leschi community with food and gifts during the winter break in December. Every tag on the garland represents a “wished for” item for a family in need ; you take a tag, purchase the item and return it to school to be wrapped and delivered to the family! Be sure to attach the original tag to your gift so we know who will be getting your gift. If you take a tag, but are unable to get the item, please return the tag to the main office so another person can fulfill that wish.

The Giving Garland will be located outside of the main office.

    Food Drive

Deposit non-perishable foods in the designated collection bins around the school. What we collect will provide nutritious food to family’s that count on meals typically provided by school. We also need to collect healthy, easy-to-open, kid-friendly food that does not require adult supervision to be cooked or eaten.

    Donate your Time!

If you can’t donate a gift, consider donating your time and help wrap gifts (details to follow!). Please contact Jennifer Marquardt with any questions at 206-423-2781 or jrmarquardt1@yahoo.com.

If you are interesting in adopting an entire family, please contact Mr. Donaldson directly: 206-252-2968 or email: gwdonaldson@seattleschools.org
