Welcome families to the 2023-2024 school year! I am excited to begin my second year as principal at Leschi School along with Assistant Principal Will English. With the beginning of a new school year, there is always a blend of excitement and anticipation for what is to come. We have prepared for the first day of school throughout the summer, and we have proactively planned for a smooth start.

District-wide and school-wide, our commitment is to eliminate opportunity gaps and prepare our students for future success and provide them with multiple pathways in getting there.  At Leschi we want to nurture a culture of connection and community where all students feel a sense of belonging as their authentic selves and all students become capable, independent learners. We focus on providing students safe and welcoming environments, learning experiences that are inclusive and standards-aligned, and supports needed for student growth and development.

Please join us next Tuesday, September 3rd for Popsicles on the Playground from 4:00-5:00. You will be able to meet your student’s teacher and visit with other Leschi students, families, and staff. See you there!
