How I Got Into Education: As a Seattle Public Schools graduate, I wanted to return to the community that helped shape me and become an educator myself. I continued that path through the University of Washington Seattle Teacher Residency.

How I Got Into Education: I started out teaching beginning drawing and figure drawing classes to adults and decided to pursue a teaching certificate in art. While working as an instructional assistant, I was placed in a special education classroom on my first day. I quickly discovered how much I enjoyed the work and decided to shift my focus to special education.
Hobbies: Drawing, painting, and biking
