How I Got Into Education: I always wanted to be a teacher. I was a history major in college and decided I would rather teach history than elementary school. I started teaching when I was 22 and was shorter than many of my students. I taught middle school history and language arts for five years before moving into instructional coaching, curriculum work, and building administration.

Hobbies: Hiking, running, reading, camping, trying new foods, and learning to garden.

How I Got Into Education: I’m passionate about whole-person wellness, community, and making sure people feel welcomed and supported. At Leschi, I try to bring those values into everything I do by caring for students, families, and staff and sharing resources whenever I can. I want everyone who comes through our school to experience some kind of positive change or blessing.
Hobbies: Gardening, growing food and flowers, making sourdough, learning about native plants, and exploring nutrition and wellness
